What is the difference between "eternal life" and "salvation", or is there a difference?

Eternal life is when your individual soul becomes one with the universal soul or Brahman as described in the oldest scriptures of all the Vedas -- Salvation is when you reach moksha or liberation --- a higher plane when your soul has accomplished its journey. Its Buddhist version is nirvana.
