How do you replace a blown fuse in a car?

Can you simply find the blown fuses, then swap them with new ones of the same size and voltage rating, or is there something else you should do? What happened to me was, while trying to install a new car deck, power to radio and ceiling lights went out, probably because I mistakenly connected the antenna control to ground.
