2001 OLDMOBILE HARMONIC BALANCER PROBLEMS, NEED HELP!!!?

i have 2001 oldsmobile intrigue and i need to take the harmonic balancer of , there is a big set screw . now i bought a harmonic balancer tool to remove it but the harmonic balancer on my car doesnt have any holes to set up the harmonic balancer puller. now my question is with this make and model of car what is the required steps to taking this harmonic balancer off, and is an impact wrench a needed to or can ordinary 3/4" socket, with a 1/2" driver sufficent?
