Why are you afraid of the Prop 8 gay marriage decision?

As I've stated many times before, marriage is the religious act of uniting two individuals. A civil union is the recognition by the government of two individuals. The government should not call it a "marriage license" since the U.S. is supposed to have separation of church and state. The government should ONLY allow civil unions, to everyone, regardless of gender. There should be no such thing as a "marriage" license, only a "civil union" license, which should be available to all citizens.
