What guitar is best for me?

I already posted this before but last time i was not specific enough. Ok, i'm looking for a new guitar with good clean pickups but also something thatl give me a crisp heavy System of a down sound that comes standard with the guitar. I was considering the Iceman 2 by ibanez (guitar played by Daron Malakian of SOAD) but i really love the gibson firebird tone and sound as well. Don't tell me to get a strat because i refuse. its way too common. and please dont suggest B.C riches or anything psycho gothic looking. Keep in mind my price range for a new or used guitar is at most about 800 dollars. I'm also looking forward to buying a good medium sized amp with good overdrive. Or is it better to just get an amp with no effects built in and just get overdrive pedals and wah pedals. Which way would be cheaper and how much would it cost. btw is there a big difference between the Epiphone SG and the Gibson SG and what about the Gibson Firebird and the Epiphone Firebird. *if there is one.THANKS=D
