War of Colors (of the wall)?

i want to paint the kitchen walls beige to compliment a burgundy accent wall. The other partner wants white?! She is uncreative and has challenged me on every single color i've chosen throughout the rental home. I'm really into the designer colors and everyone who has seen the home is in love WITH THE COLORS. I hate that she is being so stubborn of leaving these walls white ! but at the end of the day it's a partnership and i have no idea why she needs to pipe up in the most important room in the house....what to do? should i ask the remaining partners to vote? should i back off?
